ASTW – Aku Suka Tengok Wayang

ASTW - Aku Suka Tengok Wayang is a group of artists who sneaks into places and hold guerilla cinema screening. It is a movement that re-creates the simple joy of watching movies by bringing endless viewing pleasures of music videos, experimental and classic films to your feet with the twist of 21st century.

We turn building walls and transform dark empty spaces into impromptu movie venues where independent filmmakers can self distribute and screen their works. Screenings can take place at anytime and anywhere. In addition, members can discuss anything related to movies.

Part of our mission is to transform the urban environment into a joyful playground.

We are not-for-profit. The screenings are FREE, casual, and require minimal participation.

Bring blankets, pillows, friends, food and drink to share or anything you need to be comfortable in the great outdoors/indoors.

It’s a simple drill, we show up, we project some music videos , then we watch movies as we eat , then we clean up and go home and wait for the next time for it to happen again.
