Kaki5 Folk Akustika

It all started over Black Kopi and Milo Revolution at the legendary Kaki5 Galerie & Cafe in Haji Lane, Singapore. A group of musicians decided to bring Malay folk music beyond their ethnic communities to a wider audience and created a platform for artists from the region to sing Malay songs in a modern acoustic style. In 2006, Kaki5 Folk Akustika was born thus bringing their music from ‘the void deck to the masses’.
